The Health Council of Southeast Florida manages the Florida Asthma Coalition as part of the Florida Asthma Program, Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention of the Florida Department of Health. The Coalition works to reduce the burden of asthma by offering asthma-friendly recognitions for hospitals, providers, schools and childcare centers; hosting an annual statewide educational summit; and hosting Workgroup meetings with presentations by experts in the field.
